Glen Ellyn's Outdoor Dining Tent To Stay Open Through Summer

GLEN ELLYN, IL — As the state moves into Phase 4 of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's Restore Illinois Plan, Glen Ellyn will keep its outdoor dining tent on Main Street open for the remainder of summer. Located between Duane Street and the Main Street parking lot, the Main Street Al Fresco tent features socially distant outdoor dining beneath a large tent.

While Main Street Al Fresco is open, traffic in both directions will remain closed in the area.

"This concept, along with other added outdoor dining locations have proven to be a success for many of Glen Ellyn's restaurants," Glen Ellyn officials wrote in a Facebook post. They added that outdoor seating remains subject to change.

The concept, which started out as Dine on Duane, opened on Main Street June 5. The tent gives diners a chance to eat al fresco when they order from Cabernet and Company, Fire and Wine, Maize and Mash, Nobel House, Shannon's Irish Pub, Sushi Ukai, Santa Fe and other nearby restaurants.
