IL 48th Live Virtual Candidate Forum on 9/9
The League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn hosts Candidate Forum for IL House 48th with Breen and Costa Howard

Glen Ellyn, IL 8/30/2020
The League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn is hosting a live virtual forum between Rep. Terra Costa Howard and Peter Breen, candidates for the IL House 48th Congressional District, on Wednesday September the 9th, 2020 from 7pm-8pm.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult for candidates to meet with constituents and for voters to learn about candidates. The League of Women Voters has long hosted nonpartisan candidate forums given their organization's mission of promoting voter education and access. In the past, these forums were held in person, but given COVID-19 restrictions and concerns all League Forums for the 2020 election are being held in a virtual environment.
According to League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn Co-President Erica Nelson, “every voter has a duty to understand the issues and learn about the candidates that will represent them. As we always say, democracy is not a spectator sport.”
