Labor Day To Delay Trash Pickup In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL - The end of summer is approaching, which means residents will be grilling out and hitting the pool for Labor Day Monday. The Labor Day holiday will delay refuse pickup in Glen Ellyn by one day, village officials said in a post.

They added that village offices will be closed in observation of the holiday.

Labor Day might signal the end of summer, but that doesn't mean Glen Ellyn is done with festival season. There's still time to check out the village's Backyard BBQ competition, which brings 60 teams of amateurs to downtown Glen Ellyn to see who can whip up the best ribs and barbecue eats.
