Local Election Results: College of DuPage Board of Trustees

The contested race at the community college saw two incumbents and 10 newcomers face off for three seats.

With about 1 percent of the vote left to count Tuesday night, the open seats at the College of DuPage board of trustees was comprised of all newcomers to the board.

Preliminary results showed that Charles Bernstein of Wheaton, Frank Napolitano of Bloomingdale and Deanne Mazzochi of Elmhurst were elected to fill the three open seats. The three ran as part of The Clean Slate campaign.

“We’re really excited for what that means for College of DuPage,” Clayton Turner, campaign manager for The Clean Slate said. “Everyone is saying that business as usual is done at the College of DuPage.

“Bernstein, Napolitano and Mazzochi as well as trust Kathy Hamilton are excited to get to work for the College of DuPage, for taxpayers, students and faculty.

The three candidates of The Clean Slate were celebrating at a local banquet hall on Tuesday night. Hamilton was with them. They are hoping to address some of the issues that have come out at the college recently.

  • Frank Napolitano: 35,928
