Man Accused Of Pointing Gun At Truck Driver In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A Glen Ellyn man was arrested Friday after police say he pointed a gun at a truck driver near the intersection of Duane Street and Melrose Avenue. Christopher M. Davis, 45, of the 400 block of Melrose Avenue, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault in connection with the 8:15 a.m. incident.

While searching for Davis, police evacuated a nearby apartment building and put nearby St. Petronille school on lockdown. Police took Davis into custody at his home without incident just after 11 a.m. Police say they recovered a gun when they arrested Davis.
