Maryknoll Park Splash Pad Opens May 29 In Glen Ellyn

Reservations are encouraged at the splash pad and new rules will be enforced to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — This summer, parents can take their kids to beat the heat at Glen Ellyn's Maryknoll Park splash pad, which opens May 29 for the 2021 season.

Glen Ellyn Park District officials recommend making a reservation before visiting the splash pad, as walkups are subject to availability. Residents can click the link to register for a splash pad time up to seven days in advance.

Parties that get to the splash pad more than 15 minutes after their registered time will forfeit their time slot.

A total of 75 people are permitted at the splash pad per each 1.5-hour time slot. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, children and adults who are not vaccinated must wear a face mask when checking in or when they cannot maintain a safe social distance from other visitors. As an added safety measure toys, cups and buckets are not permitted on the splash pad during the 2021 season.

Outside food and drinks are prohibited on the splash pad, but personal water bottles are permitted. Visitors can eat their snacks at the park's pavilion.

Maryknoll Park's splash pad features a dozen spraying features, including a water tower, an aqua dome and a water tunnel. Maryknoll Park is located at 845 Pershing Ave. in Glen Ellyn.
