More Than 20 Cars Burglarized, 2 Stolen In Glen Ellyn: Police

Police say the burglaries and thefts all took place overnight Monday into Tuesday.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — More than 20 cars were burglarized and two were stolen in Glen Ellyn between Monday night and Tuesday morning, according to Glen Ellyn police. Police say both the stolen cars had keys inside, but were recovered.

At press time, Glen Ellyn Deputy Chief Kurt Vavra told Patch via email that some burglaries took place in the following locations:

  • 800 block of Seminary Circle
  • 900 block of Maryknoll Circle
  • 900 block of Oakwood Court
  • 200 and 300 block of Scott Avenue
  • 900 block of Oakwood Court
  • 300 block of Spring Avenue
  • 200 and 300 block of Cumnor Avenue
  • 200 block of Woodstock Avenue
  • 1000 block of Memory Court
  • 1000 block of Londonberry Lane
  • 300 block of Indian Drive

Vavra said residents are urged to keep their doors locked and to keep keys, key fobs, garage door openers, valuables and other items out of cars.
