Northwestern Medicine Expands Glen Ellyn Clinics

The Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group Orthopaedics and Dermatology clinics at 885 Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn have recently expanded and renovated their clinical space for procedures and examinations. The project allows for existing services to grow and provides opportunities for the addition of new providers.

The Orthopaedics suite was renovated and expanded to accommodate six additional exam rooms and a second X-ray room. Dermatology expanded into 1,800 square feet of vacant space to add a procedure room and five more exam rooms.

“The Dermatology suite will now be able to accommodate the growing Mohs surgery practice of Michelle Pipitone, MD, a Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group dermatologist,” says Dana Marie Macaluso, Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group practice administrator for Dermatology.

Mohs surgery is a technique for treating basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) and squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs), the two most common types of skin cancer. Mohs surgery is especially useful for treatment on the face, nose, mouth, ears and feet because it removes the cancerous skin while keeping as much healthy tissue as possible and reducing deep scarring and the need for reconstructive surgery.

Physical and Occupational Therapy, previously located in the Glen Ellyn Medical Office Building, has relocated to HealthTrack Sports Wellness, just across the parking lot, where a physical therapy clinic already exists. This clinic was renovated to align with the updates to the Orthopaedics and Dermatology clinics.

The Northwestern Medicine Glen Ellyn Medical Office Building also offers Immediate Care, Pediatrics, Primary Care and Women’s Health services.
