Theft

Johnny Edgardo Valladares Cruz, 35, of the 4100 block of West Armitage Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 10:45 a.m. with theft on the 200 block of Newton.

SATURDAY, APRIL 13

DUI, Speeding

Vicky L. Canals, 41, of the 1700 block of Ogden Avenue, Downers Grove, was charged at 2:40 a.m. with driving under the influence, speeding, uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage at Roosevelt Road and Sunset.

THURSDAY, APRIL 11

Theft at Glenbard West, Pt. 1

Someone stole a calculator and other personal items from a gym locker at Glenbard West High School on the 600 block of Crescent Boulevard. The incident occurred between 12:50 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. It was not known whether the locker was locked or unlocked at the time of the incident.

Theft at Glenbard West, Pt. 2

Someone stole a cell phone while the owner was near the dean's office at Glenbard West High School on the 600 block of Crescent Boulevard. The incident occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 8:35 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

DUI, Drug Equipment

Timothy M. Taylor, 19, of the 1400 block of West 52nd Pl, LaGrange, was charged at 7:05 p.m. with driving under the influence, possession of drug equipment, uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage at Route 53 and Surrey Road.

TUESDAY, APRIL 9

Suspended License, Uninsured Vehicle

Michael A. Gladu, 23, of the 100 block of Surrey Drive, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 8:55 p.m. with driving while license suspended and uninsured motor vehicle at Route 53 and Butterfield Road.

Cardboard Crook

Someone stole a compressed bundle of cardboard from a loading dock on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

DUI, Speeding

Kim Soyeon, 28, of the 7900 block of North Nora Avenue, Niles, was charged at 1:29 a.m. with driving under the influence and speeding at Roosevelt Road and Nicoll Way.

MONDAY, APRIL 8

No Valid License

Juan Cuautle, 29, of the 600 block of Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 10:41 p.m. with no valid driver’s license and a failure to appear warrant for a traffic offense at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Nicoll Way.

SUNDAY, APRIL 7

Panhandling

Charles E. Mitchell, 23, of the 700 block of West Liberty, Wheaton, was charged at 2:33 p.m. with panhandling on the 500 block of Roosevelt Road.

Theft

Someone took miscellaneous scrap metal from a home between 4 p.m. April 6 and 10 a.m. on this date on the 200 block of Newton.
