Park District to host high school 3-on-3 basketball league

High school age boys in Glen Ellyn and surrounding areas can now register to participate in the Glen Ellyn Park District’s 3-on-3 winter basketball league at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center from January 25-March 21. Registration is available through January 20 at gepark.org/register.

The winter league is divided into two divisions: Freshman/Sophomore and Junior/Senior. Participants can look forward to playing an 8-game regular season followed by a single-elimination postseason tournament.

All games will be played half-court on Saturday evenings between 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. 3-on-3 basketball encourages skill development by affording each teen more playing time, touches, and shots in a fun and competitive environment.

Athletes sign up individually but form their own teams of 3-6 players. Registration for the league is $50 per individual.
