Plant Oak Trees At Arbor Day Event In Glen Ellyn
Guests can plant tree saplings in Ackerman Woods to celebrate Arbor Day.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Park District's special Arbor Day tree planting event will give residents a chance to plant oak saplings to help beautify the village. Planters will gather at Ackerman Woods on April 28 to learn about Arbor Day and to take part in the collective tree planting.
Glen Ellyn Park District members will speak bout the importance of Arbor Day, which comes just a few days after Earth Day. They'll also give tips on how to properly care for trees to ensure their health and growth.
The event is free and you don't need to bring anything, but if you're interested, the park district recommends registering ahead of time. Visit the Glen Ellyn Park District website for more information and to register for the Arbor Day tree planting event.
