GLEN ELLYN, IL — A pop-up ice skating rink is set to open in Glen Ellyn, giving residents another place to cut the ice, since Lake Ellyn is still closed for skating this season. The Glen Ellyn Polar Plaza will open Feb. 19 at the Crescent Avenue Parking lot downtown.

The 60-foot by 40-foot skating rink will be free to use, but skate rentals will not be available onsite. Residents can bring their own skates or head to Paul’s Shoe Service at 486 N Main St. to pick up used skates.
