A Preview Of Glen Ellyn's Downtown Streetscape Is Coming Soon

Work will include storm sewer improvements along Pennsylvania Avenue and widening of the sidewalk to allow for outdoor dining.

A section of the new downtown Glen Ellyn streetscape is coming to the southeast corner of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, in front of the A Toda Madre restaurant. Construction began on May 3, 2021 and is expected to be complete in late June 2021. Work will include storm sewer improvements along Pennsylvania Avenue and widening of the sidewalk to allow for outdoor dining. The new sidewalks will include decorative brick paver bands selected for narrower sidewalks in the new downtown Glen Ellyn.

Please note that the project extends to the Pennsylvania East Parking Lot, just east of A Toda Madre. During the initial phases of this project, parking in this lot will not be available on days when work takes place adjacent to the lot.
