Public Parking Changes in Downtown Glen Ellyn

A former public lot will no longer be available for free parking in downtown Glen Ellyn, but residents will have other options.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn residents will now have to find different places to park downtown because a former public parking lot has changed ownership. The affected parking lot is adjacent to the now-closed Schmid Pharmacy. The change comes as the Two Hound Red Brew Pub prepares to open up in that spot.

As a result of the downtown parking changes, residents can now take advantage of free three-hour parking at the McChesney parking lot at the intersection of Glenwood and Crescent. Residents won’t have too far to go for free parking when shopping downtown for the time being, but with upcoming developments in Glen Ellyn, this may only be a temporary fix to any parking issues.
