Roosevelt Road Resurfacing Project Begins In Glen Ellyn, Wheaton
The project is expected to impact traffic until late fall.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Maintenance has begun on a stretch of Roosevelt Road that is expected to cause daytime lane closures for the remainder of summer and into fall. The project, which includes resurfacing and sidewalk widening, will impact traffic from Nicoli Lane in Glen Ellyn to Pierce Ave. in Wheaton.
Crews from Illinois Department of Transportation will completely replace sidewalks at intersections along the route to make them ADA accessible. Additionally, some trees will be cleared out along the path.
Some sidewalks will be closed to accommodate the construction. Commuters will run into lane closures between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., a press release said.
