Stuck Semi Stalls Traffic On I-83 In Addison: Police

ADDISON, IL -- Motorists are advised to avoid I-83 near the i-290 overpass after a semi-truck became stuck beneath the overpass Wednesday afternoon. As of 2 p.m., southbound express lanes were still closed as crews worked to dislodge the semi and clear the road, Addison police said.

Northbound lanes on I-83 were open, police said, but commuters were still advised to steer clear of the area near the accident.
