Students Needed For 4th Of July Parade In Glen Ellyn
Find out how students in 4th through 8th grade can help carry banners in the parade. The deadline to sign up is July 3 at 12 p.m.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn needs some ambitious fourth and eighth graders to carry banners in the village's upcoming Fourth of July parade. Students who volunteer will get at least one $20 gift certificate from the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce.
Glen Ellyn's 2021 Fourth of July parade steps off at 12 p.m. July 4 in downtown Glen Ellyn. Students who sign up to carry banners should meet at 11 a.m. in a designated "banner carrier parking lot" near the parade's starting point on Crescent Boulevard across from Memorial Field Park. An information tent will be set up to provide directions.
Roads near the parade route will be closed around 10:30 a.m.

Students will get a gift certificate for each time they walk the parade route, and there is no limit to the number of times a student can walk, according to the sign-up sheet. Parents who want more information should email Barb Mitchell at mitchell@cod.edu.
