SWAT Team Called After Trespasser Found In Glen Ellyn Home: Cops
The incident closed the area around the 200 block of Glenwood Sunday morning.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — A SWAT team was called to a Glen Ellyn home Sunday morning after a trespasser was found inside the residence, according to police.
The incident took place in the 200 block of Glenwood around 7:30 a.m., when police got reports of two trespassers inside the unoccupied home. When officers got to the scene, they found a person inside the home, according to a news release from Glen Ellyn Police Department. Police then called the DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation (MERIT) SWAT team for backup.
One person came out of the home prior to the SWAT team's arrival and was taken into custody. The other person was not found and charges have not yet been filed, according to police.
