Taylor Avenue Underpass Ribbon Cutting To Be Rescheduled
The underpass and pedestrian tunnel opened to traffic on Dec. 31.

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- The ribbon cutting ceremony to herald the opening of the new Taylor Avenue underpass will be rescheduled due to weather. The event, which was originally scheduled for Jan. 2, will be set for a later date that has not yet been determined, village officials said in an email.
Despite the delay in the ribbon cutting ceremony, the improved underpass has been open for traffic since Dec. 31 after being closed for roughly four months. Pedestrians and cyclists can now take advantage of a graded pedestrian tunnel and drivers can navigate the widened underpass more readily now that a sidewalk has been removed.
