Villa Park Annual Plants Sale relocates to Prairie Path

The 24th Annual Plant Sale of the Garden Club of Villa Park will be held Friday and Saturday May 3 and 4, 2019 from 8 am to 3 pm at the Pavilion on Villa Ave and the Prairie Path in Villa Park, IL. For years the event was held at the Lions Community Center, but this year it will be located along the Prairie Path at Villa Avenue where there is more parking, easier access and wonderful surroundings in downtown Villa Park. Opening at 8 AM you can get some shopping in before the other stores open.

The Plant Sale theme is Native Perennials, Heirlooms and Herbs, featuring a variety of heirloom vegetables, herbs and a nice variety of flowering native perennial flowers picked because they will feed and attract pollinators. We have changed the offerings at the plant sale due to customer demand and will have experts on hand to help gardeners, new and old decide on their vegetable, flower and herb purchases.

Through 20 plus years of wonderful plant sales, the Garden Club of Villa Park has responded to the needs of local gardeners and this year is no different. For 2019 the Club is including a special selection plants which will make it a destination for all home gardeners especially those interested in growing their own foods.

A nice variety of vegetables, like peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and squash as well as herbs from Basil to Oregano to Rosemary will be part of the sale offerings.

Recipes and growing information will be provided at the sale for both your garden plot or your patio containers. Come browse, ask questions, and find out if we have the plants for you!
