Woman Hurt In House Fire Near Glen Ellyn
The woman was trapped in a fire that broke out Wednesday morning in the 2N400 block of Amy Avenue.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A woman was hurt Wednesday when she was trapped in a house fire in unincorporated Glen Ellyn. The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. in the 2N400 block of Amy Avenue, according to a news release from Glenside Fire Protection District Chief Russ Wood.
When fire crews got to the scene, they entered the home and rescued the woman "within minutes," the news release states. The fire, which had started in the garage, was put out within 15 minutes.
The woman was rushed to AMITA Health Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights and then transferred to Loyola Medical Center. There were no updates regarding her condition at press time.
