Skokie Named one of America's 'Most Caring Suburbs'

The village of Skokie was named as one of the ten “most caring suburbs” by Movoto, a real estate blog that often releases unique top ten lists that offer a look at the lighter side of the market.

In this list, Movoto looked at 109 suburbs throughout the nation and chose the ten most caring based on a set of criteria including “community services per capita, mental health counselors and therapists per capita and percent of workers who carpool (caring for the environment).”

Interestingly, Skokie was not only the only representative from Illinois - but the only Midwest village on the list, coming in at No. 10.

Movoto picked Skokie “mostly for its high number of counselors and mental health pros per person.”

Silver Spring, MD, Georgetown, TX and Cupertino, CA were the top three listed.
