23 Fire Extinguishers Stolen from Highland Park High School
They were on the grass while being inspected.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department:
Driving with a suspended license
Irving Metz, 61, of the 1400 block of Forest Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged Aug. 5 with driving while license suspended, improper lane usage and uninsured motor vehicle stemming from an accident near the Edens Expressway and Clavey Road on July 26. He was released on a personal recognizance bond with an Aug. 13 court date.

Sergio Gomez-Guevara, 27, of the 200 block of Sheridan Avenue in Highwood, was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, hand held cell phone while driving and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police near Central Avenue and Green Bay Road at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7. Gomez-Guevara was released on a personal recognizance bond with an Aug. 27 court date.
Forgery, identity theft, possession of a controlled substance

Ramon Chavez, 30, of the 500 block of W. Chicago Avenue in Hinsdale, Vallerie Reynolds, 55, of the 6200 block of S. Wood in Chicago, and Richard Tate, 23, of the 2200 block of E. 69th Street in Chicago, were charged Aug. 5 with forgery and identity theft for attempting to purchase a vehicle utilizing stolen identity. Additionally, Reynolds was charged with possession of a controlled substance. All three were transported to bond court pending court date.
Antenna damaged
The antenna on a blue 2002 Ford was bent and damaged as it was parked overnight Aug. 3 in a lot in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road.
Rock thrown through window
A rock was thrown thru a window of a home in the 2400 block of Green Bay Road Aug. 6.
Retail theft
Someone stole a Lumen Beam flashlight from a business in the 1500 block of Old Deerfield Road at about 9:20 a.m. Aug. 6.
Fire extinguisher theft
Police are investigating the theft of 23 10-pound fire extinguishers taken from the grass near Highland Park High School around 12:45 p.m. Aug. 6. The fire extinguishers were being inspected at the time of the theft.
Burglary from a motor vehicle
Someone entered an unlocked white 2005 BMW sometime between Aug. 5 and 16 and stole a Jabra Freeway visor Bluetooth and power cord.
An IPod nano was stolen from an unlocked blue Nissan Maxima parked in the 1800 block of Sheahen Court sometime between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 5 and 7 a.m. Aug. 6.
Car keyed
Someone keyed a vehicle on the driver’s door while the owner was shopping in the 600 block of Elm Place around 2 p.m. Aug. 6.
Criminal trespass to vehicle
An unlocked black Honda Odessey parked in the 700 block of Elm Place was entered sometime between 6 p.m. Aug. 5 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 6. Nothing was taken.
Lawnmower theft
Sometime between June 10 and Aug. 7, a SCAG Velocity Grass Gobbler lawnmower was stolen out of a parked trailer in the 3200 block of Skokie Valley Road
