28 Mile Vodka Launches New Happy Hour & Live Music Line Up

Offering an interactive happy hour to taste the newly unveiled vodka and whiskey with early hours and easy price point to entice all

28 Mile Vodka Company, the North Shore’s premier Distillery and Cocktail Lounge, kicks off the New Year with the happiest of news – the launch of its new Happy Hour and live music line-up. Taking place every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., 28 Mile Vodka Company’s Happy Hour features $8 handcrafted cocktails and $4 beers – promising something pleasing for every palette and price point. Indulge in one of 28 Mile Vodka Company’s new seasonal creations like “Peter the Wolf” and “Winter Fools” or sip on one the original creations that put the venue on the map. Seasoned regulars and newcomers alike are encouraged to stop by for the newly launched Happy Hour to try something new and learn about the origins of the locally created liquors offered at 28 Mile. Guests of 28 Mile Vodka Company can sample the venue’s namesake selection of spirits and learn more about the distilling process by making a reservation for a guided distillery tour during their Happy Hour visit.

The Happy Hours serve as the perfect prelude to 28 Mile’s new live music line-up taking place Wednesday and Thursday in the lounge and in the four-season courtyard on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as during the day on Sunday for “Country Sundays.”

Brian Kovacs on January 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 pm.:Known for performing “songs that you forgot you love,” Brian Kovacs has assembled some of Chicago’s finest musicians to create a full-band, full-feels experience that will run the spectrum of emotions in a show that you won’t forget – fun and upbeat songs that bring back memories of happy times combined with heartfelt, emotional performances of loved favorites that will bring the house down. It is to be seen and heard, but mostly felt.

Johnny Aletto on January 15 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.:Johnny’s career afforded him the opportunity to perform on multiple television stations and with national acts such as Barenaked Ladies, Sister Hazel, Matt Nathanson, Third Eye Blind, and Lifehouse. He’s performed on premier Chicago stages such as House of Blues, Navy Pier, Taste of Chicago, Guinness Oyster Fest, The World’s Largest Block Party, Lincoln Hall, Schuba’s, Martyrs, Joe’s Bar, and on the most significant stage of all – US Cellular and Wrigley Field to perform the National Anthem before the “Cross-town Classics” at US Cellular and Wrigley Field. Now signed with Nashville Record label, Jonny is back where his heart is…with his band in Chicago.

Jon Allegretto on January 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.:Allegretto’s unique artistry extends from singing to songwriting and beautiful guitar playing. An accomplished musician, his sounds can be heard on Beachbody, TurboKick and Turbo Jam, as well as on the Coca-Cola anthem “Taste the Feeling.” Allegretto will serenade guests with his original songs and stories.

Alice-in-Sound and The Strokes/Paramore on January 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.:Come join School of Rock Highwood and Evanston’s Alice-in-Sound-Temple and The Strokes/Paramore bands as they perform at 28 Mile Vodka! Alice-in-Sound-Temple is a tribute to Grunge and will be performing songs from Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. The Strokes/Paramore band will perform a wide selection of songs from both of these popular alternative rock bands.

Indie Rock Band on January 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.:Come join School of Rock Highwood and Evanston’s Indie Rock and Rock Roulette bands as they perform songs from some of the most famed contemporary bands from the 2000’s to present day like Death Cab For Cutie, Spoon, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes and many more.

Beatles Rock on January 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.:Come join School of Rock Highwood and Evanston’s Soul/The Beatles bands as they perform some of the most-beloved songs of our time. This group will feature Motown, Memphis soul from Wilson Pickett and Al Green up to Neo-Soul from the likes of D’Angelo, Beyonce and Bruno Mars. The Beatles rock band will feature early and late period songs moving from the light-hearted to the intense and darker side of the Fab Four.

Matt Feddermans’s Six String Jukebox on January 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.:Matt Fedderman is a Chicago-based recording artist, songwriter & music producer with international television & film credits. Through his role as a producer/engineer, Matt has worked with Dustimoff Records, owned by Nashville based music producer Justin Niebank (Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum) & LA based Heavy Hitters Music. As a performer, he has played Milwaukee’s “World’s Largest Music Festival” Summerfest, Taste of Chicago & countless music festivals throughout the Midwest while sharing the stage with triple AAA radio staples Dishwalla, Big Head Todd & The Monsters and Freddy Jones Band.

Felix and Fingers on January 18 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.:From humble beginnings, the Felix And Fingers company has grown into the highest-reviewed dueling piano entertainment in the nation.

Leroy Winn on January 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.:At a very young age, Leroy was heavily influenced by the styles of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Jimmy Hendrix. As a teen he performed everywhere from TV shows, talent contests, to local clubs. As Leroy’s experience grew so too did his style of music going on to play guitar and front some of Chicagoland’s hottest rock, and Motown/funk bands.

Kyle Young on January 23 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.:Singer/Songwriter Kyle Young is an improvisational funk-fusion artist out of the Chicagoland area. A self-taught guitarist with a widespread, eclectic range of music, he’s sure to warm up any room with his incredible onstage energy! His passion for music is truly expressed in every note he plays. Kyle has opened for musicians such as REO, Styx and Ted Nugent. While continuing to write and produce his own original music, he is also focused on expanding and playing for new audiences – near and far!

The Beatles Band on January 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.:Come join School of Rock Highwood’s The Beatles band as they perform at 28 Mile Vodka! The Beatles rock band will feature early and late period songs moving from the light-hearted to the intense and darker side of the Fab Four.

The melodies and topics of Michael Riser’s debut CD, “RISE”, cut deeper than the usual clichés, touch on the common threads of emotion we all share, and reflect the multi-dimensional depth of a life filled with experience.

Makena Hartlin on January 30 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.:Makena Hartlin is a young singer songwriter who pairs a spell-binding voice with charming, jazz infused pop songs.

Radical Covers and Broadway Rock Bands on January 31 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.:Come join School of Rock Highwood and Evanston’s Radical Covers & Broadway Rock bands for a collection of unique takes on well known rock classics in a different style. Some examples would be “Billie Jean” by Chris Cornell, “Satisfaction” by Devo, “Higher Ground” by Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more. The Broadway Rock band will feature a collection of rock songs from the music theater world and Broadway. Some examples would be selections from Green Day musical American Idiot, Grease, Rock Of Ages, Rocky Horror Picture Show, School of Rock the musical, Hair, Million Dollar Quartet and many more.
