3rd Annual Superhero 5k Benefiting Make-A-WIsh Illinois
Community comes out in costume to give the gift of wishes in memory of Highwood's own Superman Sam Saturday, October 6th at 9 a.m.
Join The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival in their 3rd annual Superhero 5k Run/Walk to raise money for Make-A-Wish Illinois. Honor hometown hero Samuel "Superman Sam" Sommer by dressing up in your favorite super hero costume as they aim to surpass last year's donation and raise enough funds to grant 100 wishes! Participants will run or walk from Waukegan and Walker Avenues, in front of The Bent Fork Bakery, and make their way downtown Highwood and historic Fort Sheridan.

Pre-race packet pick up will take place on Wednesday, October 3, from 7-9 a.m., noon-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Equinox Highland Park, 799 Central Avenue in Highland Park. You can also pick up packets on race day at the on-site registration table as early as 7:30 am.
