Lidawer commented that the decision to run for Highland Park City Council was based on her combined work in city government as a Commissioner for the Highland Park Plan and Design Commission, her two terms on the Township High School District 113 Board and the encouragement from friends, neighbors, peers and community leaders.
Councilman Dan Kaufman added, “Annette’s experienced leadership in working to enhance our community and her analytical ability would make her a great asset to the City Council.”
“I am so grateful for the strong, sincere support and encouragement I have received,” said Lidawer. These endorsements reflect a broad range of Highland Park’s leadership and their confidence in my ability to foster in-depth and collaborative relationships in a transparent manner. I will continue to strategically address challenging issues, many of which have been exacerbated by the pandemic, and to find solutions to the problems that affect all of us. I’m excited to take up this new challenge and hit the ground running for residents of Highland Park come April.”
