Catalytic Converters Stolen From Five Vehicles: Cops

The vehicles were parked in the lot of a business in the 2900 block of Skokie Valley Road.

CATALYTIC CONVERTERS STOLEN FROM VANS

Catalytic converters were stolen between 7 p.m. Sept. 29 and 10:45 a.m. Sept. 30 from five Ford Econoline vans parked in the lot of a business in the 2900 block of Skokie Valley Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT

Helen Woodall, 25, of California, was arrested and charged with retail theft after police responded to a report of a shoplifter at 6:04 p.m. Sept. 28 at a business in the 2000 block of Skokie Valley Road. Woodall was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Oct. 28.

DUI

John Baldwin, 34, of Wisconsin, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage after being stopped by police at 3:35 a.m. Oct. 4 in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road. Baldwin was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of Oct. 23.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Someone pried open a joint mailbox at 4:18 p.m. Oct. 4 in a building vestibule in the 200 block of Whistler Road. Reports state mail was stolen from the mailbox.
