D113 Collecting Coats for Veterans at Oct. 2 HPHS-DHS Football Game
The collection, which is organized by the two police departments, is part of Operation Stand Down.

The following is from District 113:
District 113 is once again joining the Highland Park Police Department and the Deerfield Police Department in the “Operation Stand Down” coat collection for veterans.
Gently used coats will be collected at the entrances of the crosstown football game between Highland Park and Deerfield High Schools at Wolters Field in Highland Park on Oct. 2, and given to the Veterans Assistance Commission of Lake County.

The VAC provides assistance in medical, legal, housing, and job placements services to veterans and their families when needed.
