It turns out having your neighbors six feet under can be a boon for your sale price.

Redfin discovered that homes within 50 feet of a graveyard took, on average, nine days longer to sell, but then sold for a higher price than homes further away. On average, the homes closest to a cemetery sold for $162 a square foot, while homes more than 500 yards from the tombs sold for $145 per square foot.
This is particularly good news for sellers in Chicago, which Redfin says had the third largest number of homes for sale near a cemetery in the country, with 115 listed as of Oct. 15.
