Endorsement Of Davis Schneiderman: Letter

Davis Schneiderman is a fantastic choice for election to the City Council. He lives and breathes the qualities we demand from our elected representatives. Davis has the intelligence to understand our city’s complex problems, he is motivated to solve our city’s problems, and above all Davis has demonstrated his superb commitment to listen to everyone in our community. These are qualities that has been in short supply in our various Highland Park governing bodies. Davis is open to ideas, discussion and debate on all of the issues our city faces. And his open-minded, methodical, respectful, and pragmatic style is consistent with the values of our citizens.

I have seen Davis’ commitment to community over the many hours with him and others working to shape our elementary and middle school district’s future. Davis, as a member of the D112 Reconfiguration 2.0 committee, has taken this community service even farther, contributing countless hours to that cause. I have seen his natural leadership ability in action, as he is one who leads by building consensus, not by diktat.

Good governance is a hallmark of civil society. Our city of Highland Park would be well-served by electing Davis Schneiderman to our City Council. If only we could find such dedicated leaders at the state or federal level, our nation would be in a better place. Please join me in electing Davis Schneiderman for Highland Park City Council.
