Former Chicago Bear Sells Highland Park Home For Loss

WOW House: 2.5 years after listing it, Julius Peppers took a nearly $800,000 loss on the property he purchased from an ex-Chicago Bull.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Former Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers sold a home in Highland Park last week for a loss of nearly $800,000. He bought the house eight years ago from retired former Chicago Bulls point guard B.J. Armstrong for $1.8 million.

It was sold last Tuesday for $1,062,500. Armstrong had purchased it for $1.4 million in 1994, soon after it was completed, and the same year in which he was named to the all-star team after winning a historic third consecutive NBA championship.

Just east of Sheridan Road, the 6,000-square-foot two-story home was built in 1994 and includes five bedrooms and six full bathrooms.
