Frank Lloyd Wright Home Under Contract; Won't Be Demolished
Lake Avenue property finds a buyer during one-year demolition delay.

The Frank Lloyd Wright home at at 1689 Lake Avenue in Highland Park will not be demolished.
“The home is under contract and it’s my understanding the buyers are not going to demolition,” Julie Deutsche, a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker, told the Highland Park News.
A demolition permit had been sought by the former owners of the residence built in 1906, but a one-year delay enacted by the Historic Preservation Commission allowed enough time for the buyers to make the purchase.
