28 Mile Announces New Live Music Line-up and Continued Happy Hour

Interactive happy hour welcomes all to experience newly unveiled vodka and whiskey with early hours and easy price point to entice all

28 Mile Vodka Company, the North Shore’s premier Distillery and Cocktail Lounge, heats up February with a Happy Hour and lively live music line-up. Taking place every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., 28 Mile Vodka Company’s Happy Hour features $8 handcrafted cocktails and $4 beers – promising something pleasing for every palette and price point. Seasoned regulars and newcomers alike are encouraged to stop by for the Happy Hour to try something new and learn about the origins of the locally created liquors offered at 28 Mile. Guests of 28 Mile Vodka Company can sample the venue’s namesake selection of spirits and learn more about the distilling process by making a reservation for a guided distillery tour during their Happy Hour visit.

The Happy Hours serve as the perfect prelude to 28 Mile’s new live music line-up taking place Wednesday and Thursday in the lounge and in the four-season courtyard on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as during the day on Sunday for “Country Sundays.”

Mark Vormitagg on February 5 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.: Mark Vormitagg is a singer and songwriter who performs country, southern and classic rock from the 60’s to today. This talented performer delivers your favorite jams in a format that allows you to appreciate his wonderful voice.

Terry Byrne Band on February 6 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.: This Chicago band brings Rock/Blues/Folk music to the table with their talented front man, singer and songwriter Terry Byrne. With the combination of 28 Mile’s premier cocktail drinks and Terry Byrne Band’s sound, this will be a night to remember.

Michael Paterson on February 12 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.: Come join us in the Lounge at 28 Mile for an evening with Michael Paterson from the band HiFi Unplugged. Michael features acoustic guitars, keys and vocals.

Mackenzie O’Brien Duo on February 13th from 7:00 P.M to 9:30 P.M.: Mackenzie turned professional in the summer of 2016 when she embarked on her journey as a singer songwriter. Her two tattoos (a hummingbird and the name “Hummingbird”) pay homage to her young life when she was nicknamed Hummingbird because of her tendency to play alone somewhere while humming made up melodies. Mackenzie reports this as the only career she imagined for herself since she was the age of four. In the last few years Mackenzie’s musical journey has “taken off” and, at times, seems to be blessed. Mackenzie’s journey has taken her to performances in the cities of Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Austin, Los Angeles, Denver, and Nashville. Her talent has garnered interest from professionals in The US, England, and Ireland.

Kevin Presbrey on February 19 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.: Ukulele infused rootsy folk rock is one way of describing the vibration Kevin Presbrey is casting out these days, but you could also say that his songs have a way of giving you that cozy feeling of being snuggled up by the fireplace in your favorite hooded sweatshirt. He’s warm and familiar to you. Embracing the influences of storytellers Jim Croce, Don McLean, and Van Morrison along with modern troubadours Ryan Adams and James Bay, Presbrey’s Midwestern sound and personality is the vehicle for the stories he lives and shares.

Kyle Young on February 20 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M: Singer/songwriter Kyle Young is an improvisational funk-fusion artist out of the Chicagoland area. A self-taught guitarist with a widespread, eclectic range of music, he’s sure to warm up any room with his incredible onstage energy! HIs passion for music is truly expressed in every note he plays. Kyle has opened for musicians such as REO, Styx and Ted Nugent. While continuing to write and produce his own original music, he is also focused on expanding and playing for new audiences – near and far!

Leo Sclamberg on February 22 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.: Leo Sclamberg, is a 15 year old singer/guitarist and songwriter. He performs at lots of street fairs, fundraisers, races, and provide background music at parties. Some of which include Soldier Field, The United Center and Grant Park. He loves playing various artists and genres of music, from Jason Mraz and Bruno Mars to the Beatles, Michael Jackson and Elvis. The goal of his music is not to imitate other artists, but to make the music and style his own.

Pino Farina Duo on February 26 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.: Pino Farina is a singer/songwriter whose emotive performances are filled with songs of love, heartache, redemption and renewal. After touring the country extensively with his award-winning band, Pino stepped away for a time of rediscovery as an artist, songwriter and performer. In 2018, Pino released “Start Over Again” and has been enthusiastically welcomed back performing in different combinations with Pino Farina Band (solo, duo, or full). He is currently working on a new collection of songs and expects a Spring/Summer 2020 release.

Mark & Paul from Mr. Blotto on February 27 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. Come join 28 Mile Vodka Company for a very special night with Paul Bolger and Mark Hague from Mr. Blotto.
