Highland Park Country Club Wants $1.2M for Clubhouse Renovations
The upgrade would help keep revenue from events at the club that seemed destined to close until recently.

Highland Park Country Club’s management would like $1.2 million to renovate the banquet facility in order to keep revenue from events like weddings and bar mitvahs, according to an article in the Highland Park News.
Highland Park Country Club seemed destined for closure until recently. The city was to transfer management to the Park District of Highland Park, which had planned to close the course in favor of Sunset Valley. But earlier this month the city announced it would retain ownership of the course and keep it open.
Mayor Nancy Rotering stressed that the dollar amount was part of a “wish list” and has not yet been analyzed by staff, the article says.
