HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The Highland Park High School football season is nearly complete. The Giants (3-5) lost 28-7 away to Maine West in Week 8 after dropping the previous week's game against Deerfield. The regular season concludes at 7 p.m. Friday against the Maine East Blue Demons at Wolters Field.
This year marks the first season under new coach David Lindquist, a 2004 HPHS grad and former captain of the University of Illinois football team, who has been instrumental in reviving the Little Giants football program by combining it with the Young Warriors of Deerfield.
