"For us it's definitely a big benchmark," Stang said on Monday. "For us to be able to headline Taste of Chicago in front of thousands of people is very exciting."
Stang has been recording and performing with Polarcode for about two years. The group recently released an EP and Stang is looking forward to showcasing the new material at upcoming shows.

"We just try to make the whole show an experience of sounds," Stang said.
The musician knows a little about making a show lively. He performed in Chicago's "Million Dollar Quartet" as Jerry Lee Lewis.
Though he's especially excited to play in front of the huge Chicago crowd, Stang says he's also glad he'll get to perform at Taste of Highland Park in August.
"it's just great to be able to come back and play for your hometown," he said.
