Highland Park Unveils Major Projects for 2016

Key initiatives include the renovation of the Highland Park Theater, a youth citizens police academy and more.

The City of Highland Park has envisioned an eventful year of more than 140 major projects and initiatives that are in progress or planned to begin within 2016. These projects are customer-focused initiatives outside of the city’s day-to-day operations, yet, based on the foundation of the four priorities: fiscal stability, public safety, infrastructure investment, and community vibrancy. These core priorities established by the council guide the work plan and principles of the city.

“Our employees take great pride in their work and in everything that they do. We strive to provide quality customer service and take a proactive approach in meeting the needs of residents, businesses and visitors,” City Manager Ghida Neukirch said. “We look forward to the progress in the year ahead and welcome public feedback.”
