Highwood Obituary: Stuart Gordon, 73
The devoted family man was an attorney for nearly 50 years, but his greatest passions were outside the courtroom.

Obituary from the Gordon family:
Stuart D. Gordon, 73, of Highwood, IL, passed away at home on March 24, 2021, after battling bone cancers for the past year. True to his nature, he never stopped fighting. Stuart was born August 11, 1947 in Chicago. He went to University of Wisconsin and then University of Illinois for law school. A driven attorney for almost 50 years, he shone bright in the courtroom.
His greatest passions were outside the courtroom. For the past 40 years Stuart shared in many hobbies with his wife and partner in crime, Jill. Together they raised their children, Brad and Amanda. Stuart was a true family man and could be found on the sidelines of every game, concert, and competition with his camera in hand. In his most recent role as grandfather to Spencer, he took advantage of endless photography opportunities, as well. The two of them always succeeded at making each other smile. Stuart was a lifelong hockey player, seasoned sailor, adventurous motorcyclist, and curious traveler. Stuart maintained close friendships from high school and college and made many more, including harbor friends. He was truly a people person.
