Maxwell Street Klezmer Band Quartet with Cantor Pavel Roytman
Cantor and Klezmer Quartet Perform Livestream Concert from Fine Arts Building, Chicago brought to you by IN.LIVE October 22, at 12 Noon.

Chicago, IL--As the pandemic drove music from stages across Chicago, a creative classical musician named Susan Merdinger created a hybrid livestream/outdoor concert series called "Blue Skies Concerts" for Summer-Fall 2020. On Thursday, October 22nd, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM, Cantor Pavel Roytman and a quartet from the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band will perform a ticketed livestream concert.
"We met Cantor Roytman decades ago, when he had recently arrived from the USSR. Since that time, he has established himself nationally as an important interpreter of both cantorial music as well as traditional and contemporary Jewish repertoire." says Lori Lippitz, Band Director of Maxwell Street Klezmer Band.
"I am so honored to perform with the amazing pianist Susan Merdinger, members of Maxwell Street Klezmer Band. This is a unique opportunity for all of us to share our music at these challenging times. Music elevates and gives hope and this is something we are all looking for as we are preparing to play and sing for you on October 22," shares Cantor Pavel Roytman.

Named after Chicago's Jewish marketplace of the early 1900s, Maxwell Street Klezmer Band brings energy and finesse to its performances. Sheridan Music Studio is co-led by Artistic Directors Susan Merdinger and Svetlana Belsky. Dr. Belsky states, “The musicians we are featuring are some of the finest in the world, who are contributing to the vibrant music and art culture that Chicago has to offer.
