Virtual North Shore Pride Fest with Pandemic Pride Dance Party

On June 6, Celebrate Highwood invites the public to share its Virtual North Shore Pride Fest and Pandemic Pride Dance Party, in conjunction with Dj Versage. The Virtual North Shore Pride Fest will include a day and night of celebrations honoring the LGBTQ community and all of our supporters and allies!

To kick off the celebration, the City of Highwood will adorn its streets with pride flags for the month of June. Adding to the colorful atmosphere, Celebrate Highwood is encouraging the community to show their support by decorating their residences and businesses - paint rainbows in windows, add special touches to gardens, paint messages on rocks and place them around town - anything creative!
Local businesses will have specials all day long and a virtual dance party hosted by DJ Versage will begin at 7 pm from your homes!

Proceeds from North Shore Pride Fest go to support Haven Youth and Family Services, a youth mental health agency and Highland Park High School SPECTRUM Club! Now more than ever our youth, especially LGBTQ youth, need YOUR support.

Donations can be made by supporting the following specials and promotions from City of Highwood businesses:

• The Clucker’s chicken will be curbside, dressed in rainbows, welcoming Pride Fest supporters and donating 100% sales for any Pride order! They will also be adorning their delivery car chickens in rainbow scarves.
• The Bent Fork Bakery will be selling rainbow cupcakes and cake slices.
• The Silk Thumb will be selling rainbow silk roses.
• DP Home Design will be offering a Paint with Pride promotion.
• And, there will be many more food and drink specials from local favorites including: The Humble Pub, La Plancha Loca, Marco’s North Side Grill, The Mean Wiener, and The Toadstool Pub!
