HIGHLAND PARK, IL — We asked Highland Park Patch readers last week to share their picks for their favorite patios and beer gardens in the area. The results are in, and one spot emerged the clear reader's pick.

Ravinia Brewing Company's taproom and taco bar at 582 Rogers Williams Ave. was recommended by more than half of the dozens of respondents to our unscientific survey.

Readers praised brewpubs laid-back atmosphere, locally produced craft brews, Mexican food made from scratch and family-friendly atmosphere.

"Casual and non-pretentious environment with excellent tacos and delicious/refreshing beers," one reader said.

Founded in 2016, Ravinia Brewing Company started distributing beer in 2017 and opened up shop on Roger Williams Avenue in 2018.

Last month, owners Kris Walker, Jeff Hoobler, Brian Taylor, and Andy Devlin opened a second location in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood.
