Route 41 Roadwork Requires Weekend Lane Closures

IDOT announced lane closures on Skokie Highway in Highland Park, Gurnee and Park City.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Weekend roadwork will close lanes on Route 41 over the weekend, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced. Lane closures from an ongoing resurfacing project will affect the Skokie Highway in Gurnee, Highland Park and Park City through Monday morning.

Starting at 8 p.m. Friday, the right lane of northbound Route 41 will be closed between Route 120, Belvidere Road, and Route 132, Grand Avenue.

At the same time, the left lane in both directions will be closed from Lake Cook Road and Chantilly Lane.

IDOT announced all lanes will be reopened by 5 a.m. Monday, weather permitting. Drivers should plan to allow extra time to travel through the area and pay close attention to workers and signs in construction zones.
