Ex-Chicago Bull Toni Kukoc Lists Highland Park Home At 1993 Price

The three-time NBA champion, Olympic silver medalist and FIBA Hall of Famer listed his contemporary mansion for $1.15 million last month.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — After more than 25 years and three NBA championships in Highland Park, retired Chicago Bulls forward Toni Kukoč and his wife Renata listed their house in the Hybernia subdivision with its price virtually unchanged from the Phil Jackson era.

Kukoč, 50, was drafted by the Bulls in 1993 after winning championships in Europe and an Olympic silver medal with Croatia the previous year in Barcelona. That same year, he purchased the recently constructed six-bedroom contemporary home in west Highland Park for nearly $1.2 million. The property was listed last month for $1.15 million.

The 5,000-square-foot home is one of the subdivision's original models, according to its listing. There's a two-story foyer, family and living room with floor-to-ceiling windows. It is located on located on a 0.24-acre lot backing onto a pond.

The 14-room home includes a finished basement with a custom wet bar, an exercise room and an additional bedroom, according to the listing. On the first floor, there's a private den and office with its own bedroom and bathroom.

Upstairs, there are four ensuite bedrooms and a large master suite with three walk-in closets. The house has an attached, heated garage with room for three cars. Outside, there's a patio, an outdoor grill and a hot tub.

After winning three rings in his seven seasons at the United Center, Kukoč was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in 1999. He went on to play two years with the Atlanta Hawks and three with the Milwaukee Bucks before ending his 13-year NBA career in 2006.

In 2015, Kukoč was hired as a special adviser to Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf. He was inducted into the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Hall of Fame in 2017.

Kukoč and his wife have two adult children, both Highland Park High School grads. Their son, Marin, played collegiate basketball at Penn State, and their daughter, Stella, currently plays volleyball at Miami University in Ohio.

According to the Lake County Assessor's Office, the property's fair market value was about $1.14 million last year. The house has a $371 monthly homeowners association fee, and its annual property tax bill is more than $28,000. An open house is scheduled for April 28, from 1 to 3 p.m.
