Where To Find A Christmas Tree In 2020 Near Highland Park

Many local Christmas tree farms are taking coronavirus precautions to ensure you and yours have a happy holiday.

Highland Park, IL — As the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic threatens a long list of 2020’s beloved holiday traditions, it should still be possible to hunt for the ideal Christmas tree — and even more importantly, do it safely.

At least 25 million real Christmas trees are purchased each year across America, and currently, 350 million are growing in all 50 U.S. states. And despite these unprecedented times, the tradition will continue in 2020. Christmas tree lots and choose-and-cut farms nationwide are taking precautions as the coronavirus pandemic worsens to ensure buyers can take home a tree with minimal health and safety risk.

In fact, the National Christmas Tree Association has developed a 2020 guide with recommendations and best practices for Christmas tree providers to follow. Sellers are advised to frequently sanitize items such as hand saws and tree cart handles, as well as countertops, restrooms and other areas. An onsite "COVID-19 coordinator" and social-distancing rules are also being encouraged.
