Albert Joseph Vernier, 82, Formerly of Crystal Lake

Albert Joseph Vernier, 82, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Bickford Senior Living in his apartment with his daughter beside him and caring friends nearby. 

Albert was a wonderful father to two children, and a devoted husband to Margaret. 

People will remember him for his kindness, his sense of humor, and his ability to keep his cars and his garage always looking like brand new. 

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Ron) Kulesza of Huntley, and one sister, Shirley (Robert) Miller of Dixon, IL, and one grandson, Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Michael. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 3, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dixon, IL.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 1, in Huntley, at DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Visitation will also be on Friday, August 2, in Dixon at Preston Schilling Funeral Home from 5-8 pm. 

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon following the church service. 

A memorial has been established to the Cystic Fibrosis Institute.
