And the Oscar goes to... an Illinoisan!

The 2015 Oscars might have been a bit of a snoozefest, but what you might find interesting is that several of this year’s winners were born in Chicago.

In fact, the mother of one winner was the former chief of staff for First Lady Michelle Obama, and is currently leading efforts for the University of Chicago’s bid for the Obama presidential library.
