Boy, 3, Killed in I-90 Crash Near Huntley

Three others were injured in the crash.

GILBERTS, IL - A 3-year-old Rockford boy was killed in a crash on Interstate 90 at milepost 46 in Gilberts Thursday morning. The collision occurred when a 2001 Ford Taurus stopped or slow-rolled in traffic and was rear-ended by a 2013 Ford Fusion, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

A 2009 Ford F-150 then rear-ended the two other Ford vehicles.

The toddler was taken to Centegra Hospital in Huntley where he was pronounced dead. Three others were injured, including a 30-year-old Dixon man who was taken by helicopter to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with life-threatening injuries, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
