Contractor Pleads Guilty To Fraud
Thomas Manning, a former Huntley contractor, plead guilty to charges included in a 2015 indictment.

HUNTLEY, IL -- Thomas Manning, a former Huntley concrete contractor, pleaded guilty to charges that were part of a 27-count indictment leveled against him in 2015 that included accusations of defrauding labor unions and not paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. Manning, president of the now defunct T. Manning Concrete, Inc. will be sentenced in January, according to the Northwest Herald.
The U.S. Department of Justice accused Manning in the indictment of under-reporting the number of hours his employees worked while defrauding benefit plans associated with the cement masons and workers he would hire from labor unions.
He would then pay the employees for additional hours they worked "under the table," it said.
