Dead Dogs in Batavia End with Felony Charges for Woman
The Batavia resident faces four felony charges and four misdemeanor charges.

Julia A. Brungard-Giordano, 47, of the 200 block of N. Island Avenue in Batavia was arrested on April 2 on four felony counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and four misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals, police reported.
At 5:45 p.m., April 2, a Batavia Police Officer discovered a van in a parking lot in the 100 block of N. Island Avenue with what appeared to be dogs in distress.
Because the van was locked and the windows were covered in towels, officers forced entry to the vehicle. Found inside were six female dogs and two male dogs. One female dog and one male dog were already deceased.
