Huntley High School Graduate Signs Professional Soccer Contract In Finland
Taryn Jakubowski, a 2016 alum of Huntley High School, signed a contract with Finnish professional soccer club Kuopion Palloseura.

Taryn Jakubowski, a 2016 graduate of Huntley High School, has signed a contract with Finnish professional soccer club Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) during the 2021 season.
During her high school career, Jakubowski accumulated a number of honors. As a senior, Jakubowski led HHS to a 22-5-2 record and a school-best fourth place finish in the Class 3A State Competition. During that season she amassed 30 goals and 11 assists, contributing to career totals of 80 goals and 49 assists.

A three-time all-conference selection, she was named honorary captain of the Daily Herald Fox Valley All-Area Team and Elgin Courier-News Girls Soccer Player of Year as a senior.
She went on to play collegiate soccer at Division I Creighton University, where she twice received All-BIG EAST First Team honors.

KuPS plays in Finland’s Premier League, Veikkausliiga.
She is the daughter of longtime HHS teacher and coach Andy Jakubowski and former HHS athletic director Michelle Jakubowski.
